Resumen: A arte tem sido estudada como elemento facilitador na recuperação, aumento da qualidade de vida e bem-estar de pessoas com doença mental. Neste sentido, o projeto Sincronias resultou da sinergia entre a Associação Nova Aurora na Reabilitação e Reintegração Psicossocial – ANARP, uma instituição de reabilitação psicossocial para pessoas com esquizofrenia e a Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico do Porto. Este projeto tem como objetivo não só proporcionar oportunidades de experimentação artística e vivências culturais através de vários meios – a Pintura, o Desenho, a Cerâmica, a Escultura, a Design, a Fotografia e o Vídeo… - mas dotar os seus participantes de um conjunto de competências transversais fundamentais para a inclusão social de públicos particularmente vulneráveis. Neste artigo, pretendemos apresentar a necessidade que levou à criação do projeto, bem como o seu desenho e implementação, e também o impacto que o projeto Sincronias está já a ter nos diversos intervenientes. Abstract: Art has been studied as a facilitator in recovery, quality of life and well-being of people with mental illness. In this sense, Sincronias project resulted from the synergy between Associação Nova Aurora na Reabilitação e Reintegração Psicossocial - ANARP, a psychosocial rehabilitation institution for people with schizophrenia, and the School of Education of Polytechnic Institute of Porto. This project aims not only to provide artistic experimentation opportunities and cultural experiences through various means - Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Sculpture, Design, Photography and Video ... - but also provide its participants a set of key transversal competences for social inclusion of particularly vulnerable groups. In this article, we intend to present the need that led to the creation of the project, as well as its design and implementation, and also the impact that Sincronias is already having on the various stakeholders.Keywords: Arts, Social Inclusion, Mental Illness, Recovery
